Its delicious cuisine includes fresh local seafood complemented by a specially selected Tasmanian wine list. “On the Bay” is fully air conditioned and has two log fires for all year comfort. Guests can pre-order one of our generous breakfast hampers—perfect for enjoying a relaxed morning on your private deck or cooking up a treat in your cabin kitchen. Choose between our Farmer’s Breakfast Hamper, packed with all the ingredients for a classic country breakfast, or the Gardener’s Breakfast Hamper, a lighter, garden-fresh selection ideal for vegetarian guests. Both options are designed to delight and nourish.

Nestled on the waterfront of Stewarts Bay, On The Bay is more than a restaurant, it’s a celebration of place, produce, and people.
Our menu reflects the wild beauty of the Tasman Peninsula and the rich traditions of modern Australian cooking, shaped by global influences and cultural diversity. At its core is a deep respect for the land and its stories. We honour this by using native ingredients like pepperberry, wattleseed, and saltbush, thoughtfully paired with quality produce from across Tasmania and the mainland.
